Chapter 17– PUBLIC LIFE AND VOLUNTARY SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS

 (a) Representation of the District in the State and the Union Legislatures.

(b) Political parties and organisations : Local and All India hold on the District at different times and as reflected in the last elections.

(c) Newspapers : Papers published in the district and their importance.  Papers published outside the District in common circulation within the District.

(d) Voluntary social service organisations, e.g., orphanages, rescue homes, mahila samajas, societies for the advancement of backward classes, etc. History and activities of all important organisations to be individually mentioned.

Note : Only general trends and undisputed facts based on the reports of the Election Commissioner need be given.  Controversial and doubtful questions should be eschewed.
