(2) Population according to languages
(3) Population according to religion and scheduled castes and tribes
(4) Temperature, rainfall and humidity
(5) Irrigated and non-irrigated areas, and areas under principal crops
(6) Land revenue demand at successive settlements
(7) Public receipts and expenditure in respect of the Union and the State Government
(8) Public receipt and expenditure in respect of the local self-governing bodies.

Note : Any of these tables may be placed alongwith the appropriate sections in the Text itself or at the end of it as considered desirable. In the preparation of these tables, statistical information in respect of revenue units one step below the District level, generally the Tahsil, should be provided. There are great inter-state variations in the availability of information on many topics, and the state editors might make such adjustments as are necessary in the light of the local conditions and circumstances.
