and Homeopathy.
Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy (ISM&H) was created in March,1995 and re-named as Department of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in November, 2003 with a view to provide Healthcare, Education and Research in Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy Systems. The Department continued to lay emphasis on improving health care facilities, upgrading AYUSH Educational standards and also creating awareness about AYUSH. Govt of Karnataka has taken initiative in mainstreaming of AYUSH in National Health Care under NRHM in right earnest.

The AYUSH systems are time-tested methods to tackle life style disorders which are becoming a major threat to health in present era.
