·        Enrolment into the National Cadet Corps is on a voluntary basis.  Students, both boys and girls, can join at the age of 13 years in Junior Division (JD)/Junior Wing (JW) (Class VIII to X).  Enrolment in Senior Division (SD)/Senior Wing (SW) is from class XI to Class XII in Schools and also in degree colleges.  A Cadet can stay in JD/JW for two years and in the SD/SW for two years.

·        Enrolment commences at the beginning of the academic session immediately following the completion of the Institutional admission to the academic institutions.

·        Based on the aim of the NCC, the Organization has laid down Training Syllabi for the cadets.  The syllabi for the Junior Division Cadets covers a period of two years and Senior Division it is two years, except for minor variations, the syllabus is similar for both boys and girls cadets.  The training schedules planned for the cadets ensure that the benefit of the organization reaches the maximum number of cadets.
